Owen Tame died from wounds on 28th October, 1914, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 3rd Rifle Brigade battalion was part of 17 Brigade, 6th Division that had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in much of the fighting on the Western Front since then.
